Combined Cycled Gas Turbine D1 Project, Black Point Power Station


Multi - disciplinary project including full AP and Architectural Design and BEAM+Consultancy services. The project involved approximately 38 number of structures including CCGT Turnbine Hall (approx. 35m tall) plants and ancillary equipment. GFA; Approx 15,000m2.

CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP Power) has always made sustained efforts in reducing carbon emission and improving the environment through optimising its power generation fuel mix. Located in the New Territories of Hong Kong, the Black Point Power

Station is one of the world’s largest gas-fired combined-cycle power stations. In support of the Government’s plans for significant carbon intensity reduction by increasing the percentage of local gas-fired generation to around 50% of the total fuel mix in 2020.

The Project Team worked closely with Siemens, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) involving some highly specialised equipment and machines. Many of which were prefabricated skids / MiC plant rooms and DFMA solutions (eg. chimneys, pipe racks, pump sets etc).
